Order of General Du Bois expelling Jews from Holly Springs MI Dec 8th 1862

HOLLY Springs, Miss,
December 8, I 862.
On account of the scarcity of Provisions all Cotton Speculators, Jews, and other Vagrants, having no honest means to support except trading upon the misery of the country, and in general all persons from the North, not commected with the army (unreadable word) ever and having no permission from the commanding General to remain in town, will leave in twenty-four (24) hours or he will be put to duty in the intrenchments."
